We are proud to
support and change the lives of the young girls in Tanzania

Josina

The Trust sponsored Josina through Archbishop Kahurananga Secondary School after her mother lost her business when her husband died and struggled to raise her five children. She went on to the Tanzanian Institute of Accountancy and then university after which she was offered a post with the Tanzanian Tax Authority.

Irene

Irene’s parents divorced when she was little and she was left with an aunt who could not pay for her education. The Trust stepped in to pay for her schooling and college course where she graduated as a nurse. Medical and health training are seen as good routes into employment.

Otilia

Otilia came from a poor family. With the Trust’s support she attended Archbishop Kahurananga Secondary school and then university in Tanzania’s capital Dar-Es Salaam where she graduated with a degree in Chinese and secured a job there.

Letisia

Letisia was sponsored by the Trust up to high school and got pregnant while there. Her sponsor continued to sponsor her through a clinical medicine course and also pay for child care. She is awaiting the results of her licensing exam and certificate before looking for a job in a pharmacy.

Melinas

Melinas was supported through school and then the Tanzanian Institute of Accountancy where she obtained a certificate in accountancy. She is now working as an accountant for a Tanzanian government organisation in rural affairs.

Elasto

Elasto has qualified as a geography teacher after being supported through school and college. He is waiting for the government to allocate him a teaching position and has also applied for the army. He runs a motorbike taxi service while waiting for a job.

Angelina

Angelina has recently finished her degree at University of Dodoma in Commerce and Logistics, specialising in procurement.  She’s now awaiting her final certificate and will be looking to apply for jobs in this sector shortly – she is very confident in finding work.

David

David just finished his degree IT, Maths and Physics, specialising in Environmental Sciences at University of Dodoma.  He is currently applying for land surveying jobs.
